Volunteers receive free training from the National Fire Academy of Montgomery County.  Experience as a volunteer can lead to employment as a professional firefighter; fire inspector; fire investigator; or fire photographer. Call the Abington Township Fire Marshal's Office at 267-536-1088 for information on volunteer firefighting and information on joining.

Town Watch members help prevent crime by reporting suspicious
activity to the Abington Police Department. Town Watch Council
consists of the heads of the Town Watch organizations in each neighborhood. Council meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. (no meetings are held in August or December).
