Commingle Recycling Information

Commingle recycling is picked up on the same day as your regular trash collection. The mix is placed in the commingle recycling cart provided you by the township and is picked up by a separate truck than the trash truck. All Plastics including #3 through #7 will be picked up starting on the first Tuesday in October, 2010.

Curbside Recyclables Types Examples When and How

#1 Plastic Containers

Soft drink, water and beer bottles; mouthwash bottles; peanut butter containers; salad dressing and vegetable oil containers; ovenable food trays.

Soda and water bottles, medicine containers, food trays that go into the oven and other common consumer product containers.
Place curbside in the commingle cart on your normal trash day.
#2 Plastic Containers

Heavier Containers that hold laundry detergents and bleaches as well as milk, shampoo and motor oil, butter and yogurt tubs, cereal box liners, etc. Place curbside in the commingle cart on your normal trash day.
#3 Plastics Window cleaner and shampoo and cooking oil bottles, clear food packaging, etc. Place curbside in the commingle cart on your normal trash day.
#4 Plastics Squeezable bottles. Place curbside in the commingle cart on your normal trash day.
#5 Plastics

Tupperware, syrup and ketchup bottles, caps, etc. Place curbside in the commingle cart on your normal trash day.
#6 Plastics

Lids or food containers like those covering meat/veggie trays, cinnamon roll containers, cookie boxes, etc.

#7 Plastics

Three- and five-gallon water bottles. Place curbside in the commingle cart on your normal trash day.
Green Glass
Brown Glass
Clear Glass
The 3 C's: Colored, Clear and Clean glass.

No broken glass, window glass, drinking glasses, cookware, or light bulbs.
