Search for eggs! Meet the Bunny! Alverthorpe
Park is the location for the annual Egg Hunt. This FREE
event is offered to Abington Township residents from
Pre-K through 4th grade.

Park Parent-Child
Miniature Golf Tournament
|
The Bureau of Parks and Recreation will
be holding it’s annual Parent-Child Miniature
Golf Tournament at Alverthorpe Park. Each child will
register as a team with his/her parent. Each age group
will have a maximum of 18 teams. Registration is on
a first come, first served basis. Please register at
the Bureau’s main office or at the Alverthorpe
Park Control Building by Friday, July 5th at 4:00 PM.
Location: Alverthorpe Park Mini Golf Course
Ages: 6 to 11 years old
Date: Friday, July 12, 2013 (Rain Date: 7/13/13)

| Hershey’s
Track and Field Program |
The purpose of the Hershey’s Track
and Field Program is to encourage physical fitness among
youth and emphasize participation and sportsmanship.
The winners of each event have the opportunity to advance
to the District meet which will be held in Easton, PA.
Location: Gwynedd Mercy High School Track

Ages: 9 to 14 years old (as of 12/31/13)
Date: Saturday, June 8, 2013
Time: 10:00 AM to finish
Events: 50 Meter Dash 100 Meter Dash
200 Meter Dash 800 Meter Run
1600 Meter Run 4x100 Meter Relay
Standing Long Jump (Field Event)
Softball Throw (Field Event)
Each child can participate in ether 2 track and 1 field
event, or 1 track and 2 field events.
Cost: FREE Participants must pre-register through Lower
Gwynedd Township Parks & Recreation Department 215-646-5302.

Family 2-Ball Competition
|
Mom or Dad team up with your child and compete in the
ACEC Family 2-Ball event. Teams of two alternate shots
from designated spots for one minute trying to accumulate
the most points. Parents compete in child age groups
listed below.
