    No specific qualifications are needed to serve on either board.  The Zoning Hearing Board reviews zoning applications as presented by the zoning officer.  The Industrial Development Authority reviews and submits low interest loan applications, for businesses, to the PA Industrial Development Authority.

  • Earned Income Tax (EIT ) Update
    Act 32 of 2008 amended the Local Tax Enabling Act to provide for county-wide collection of the Earned Income Tax (EIT).  The Montgomery County Tax Collection Committee has retained Berkheimer Tax Administrators to serve as the tax collector for all of Montgomery County.

    The tax rate and all filing dates will remain the same; however, there are changes in the employer withholding requirements under Act 32.  Please visit the Berkheimer website for more details (www.hab-inc.com).  We encourage you to take advantage of the fast and easy e-filing for individuals and employers offered by Berkheimer.

  • Recycling Day - "Anything With a Plug"
    February 25, 2012 from 9 am to 1 pm 
    Abington Public Works Facility

    Abington is proud to offer their residents the opportunity to responsibly recycle obsolete electronics.  This F R E E service is available to all residents.

    Electronics will be recycled by eForce Compliance, Philadelphia's first certified responsible recycler.  All hard drives will be destroyed or wiped by eForce Compliance at their certified facility located in Philadelphia.
