At their scheduled 2011 Final Budget Meeting on
December 9, 2010, the Abington Board of Commissioners
chose to cancel the Abington Transit Bus due to
budgetary constraints and declining ridership. Our
final day of service will be December 29, 2010.
We understand the importance of this bus service to
you and apologize for any inconvenience this action will
cause you. May we suggest the following bus
services as an alternative:

Customized Community Transportation (CCT)
CCT is a SEPTA program that provides para-transit
service to those with disabilities. For

Shared Ride Program
Montgomery County residents ages 60 and over are also
eligible for the Shared Ride Program, which offers point-to-point
transportation by appointment at discounted fares. For
more information on Montgomery County's Shared Ride
