Residential
Requirements
At their June 12th meeting, the Abington Township Board
of Commissioners enacted an ordinance requiring (at
settlement) the installation of a carbon monoxide detector
in all single-family, two-family, and multiple-family
residential dwellings offered for sale in the Township
of Abington; also, a smoke detector must be installed
on every level and in every bedroom of a single-family,
two-family, or multiple-family residential dwelling;
finally, the numerical street address of every single-family,
two-family and multiple-family residential dwelling
must be displayed on the front facade of such dwelling.
All residents are encouraged to comply with this ordinance
immediately, before the mandatory time (at sale of your
home).
Please contact Fire Marshal Clark at 267-536-1089 if
