Our goal is to provide the administrative, professional and supervisory work necessary to handle projects in Abington Township. Our department implements and oversees the design and construction of all stormwater and sanitary sewer improvements. Engineering reviews watercourse plans and issues watercourse permits for drainage improvements. We review and inspect subdivision, land development and building permits, as well as issuing building numbers and street opening permits. We design and inspect Capital Improvement Projects, and maintain the Pennsylvania 172 One Call System. In addition, Engineering monitors utility companies for compliance with Township specifications and standards in the public right-of-way.
