Abington Township plays an active role in the Eastern Montgomery County Regional Emergency Management Group. Emergency Management officials from surrounding communities as well as representatives from area hospitals, ambulance and rescue groups, utility companies, the American Red Cross and Montgomery County officials work together as sharing partners in all emergency management issues and incidents. This regional cooperation in planning, response and recovery assures that all available resources and professional expertise will be provided for emergency situations.
