Emergency Operations Center

Abington Township’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is located in the basement of the Township Building at Old York Road & Horace Avenue. During major emergencies, the EOC serves as the coordinating point for all response and recovery operations and dissemination point for public information and emergency instructions for residents.

The EOC is equipped with emergency power, radio and telephone equipment and facilities that enable incident managers to provide logistical support and resource coordination for whatever emergency or emergencies may be occurring in the Township. The EOC is staffed by representatives from whatever Department or Agency that has a role in the specific incident. When not being used as an EOC, the facility serves as the Township’s Lower Conference Room and Training Center.
