$5000 COMMERCIAL REVITALIZATION GRANTS
Designed for facade restoration of vacant commercial
buildings, $5000 grant increments are available with
a maximum cap of $20,000 when new employment opportunities
are created in the occupancy of vacant uses. Under
this program, revitalization grant funds must be applied
on the premises upon which new employment is established
for low or moderate income residents of Abington Township.
$10,000 GRANT AND VERY LOW INTEREST LOAN
COMBINATION
Designed for the rehabilitation of commercial buildings
containing residential/apartment units, $10,000 grant
opportunities are available with an equivalent match
from the property owner. Additional rehabilitation
funds may be borrowed at an interest rate as low as
4%. One half of the match is applied to exterior improvements,
and the balance of funds are utilized to upgrade rental
units to BOCA standards.
Through
these programs, community employment and building renewal
are being fostered in Roslyn Valley and Willow Grove.
