ABINGTON FREE LIBRARY ANNOUNCES FALL STORY TIMES
The Abington Free Library Children’s Department will offer story times three days a week this fall. Monday and Tuesday story times will begin the week of September 10 and continue through the week of October 15. These sessions, led by Library staff, will be held from 10:30-11:15 a.m. in the Library’s Community Room.
Story times will also be held on Thursdays, 11:00-11:30 a.m., starting October 4 and continuing through May 16, 2019. (No sessions will be held on Nov. 22, Dec. 27, and April 18.) These sessions, featuring stories and songs, will be led by Jenkintown Kiwanis Club volunteers and Library staff.
All ages are welcome to attend the Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday programs. The Monday sessions might be most fun and educational for ages three to five, while the Tuesday sessions might be best suited for ages two and three. No advance registration is required. All children must be accompanied by a parent/caregiver.

READ TO A DOG AT ABINGTON FREE LIBRARY
Like dogs? Looking for ways to make reading fun? Abington Free Library invites children currently in grades 1-6 to participate in its fall Doggone Good Readers program. Children read aloud to registered therapy dogs in a relaxed, informal atmosphere.
Now in its thirteenth year, Doggone Good Readers will be held on three Saturdays—October 6, November 3, and December 1—in the Library’s Community Room. Three reading sessions will be offered on each date: 10:15-10:45 a.m.,11:00-11:30 a.m., and 2:00-2:30 p.m. Children will attend these programs independently.
