THE DATE OF OUR MOVIE NIGHT
HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED
because of a 60% chance of thunderstorms on Saturday night (July 22nd).
We've rescheduled it to
THURSDAY, JULY 27TH
The event starts at 6:00 pm
The movie starts at 8:30 pm
The blowup screen will be in front of the clock tower on the circle, with seating in front, and the overflow will be on Wharton, and Keswick Avenues.
Some of our food businesses will be available for purchase near the circle, starting at 6:00.
No need to have dinner BEFORE the event.
If you haven't notified us yet, and would like
to participate, contact Lyn Church at
Abington Township will be closing Keswick Avenue, from Easton Road to Abington Avenue on
Thursday around 5:00 p.m.
Depending on how well this event goes, as per a suggestion on Facebook by "Maggee Mae",
it might be MORE fun, A LOT larger (and MORE expensive) doing it in Weldon field next year.
So it ALL goes back to help, & money.
YOU STILL NEED TO THIS
All KVBA Members should send a 50 word blurb about their business to be included in the brochure. They should be sent to Jenny Troester at firstname.lastname@example.org by July 31st.
I send out 66 emails everytime we send out an email, and over the last 6 months an average of 32 businesses have opened these emails.
LESS THAN HALF OF OUR BUSINESSES OPEN THEIR EMAILS FROM THEIR BUSINESS ASSOCIATION.
I'm asking all of you to ask the businesses next to you if they are receiving our emails.
If they are getting them but aren't opening them,
I need to know.
If I'm sending them to the wrong email address,
I need to know this, as well.
It's very hard to do as much as we do,
and as much as we'd like to do
with only a HALF DOZEN people, or so,
being VERY active.
I'm sure that this half dozen people could find other things to do with the 3-4 hours a week that are devoted to the KVBA, whether that's dealing with the current or future events, the township, our State Representatives, or our meetings.
It would be nice to spread that time out when more people get involved.
We do these events for public EXPOSURE.
How many times has someone walked into your business and has NEVER been in your business before, or has never been to Keswick Village ?
SOME of these events actually make the KVBA money. This is important, because we need money to do all that we do, and all that we'd LIKE to do.
We'd like to advertise Keswick Village as a destination. We'd like to get better signage, (in addition to the sign that Abington Township is putting up on Easton Road).
We'd like better decorations for the holiday season.
ALL of these things take money, and a larger, cohesive group of people to get it done.
PLEASE respond to this email to let me know what you think, and let me know what we can do better to get more people involved.
